Welcome to Spark, our Jr. High (Middle School) Ministry at St. Paul the Apostle Church. Spark is a Catholic middle school youth ministry experience designed for early adolescents in grades, seventh and eighth. Spark is created to meet the educational, spiritual, emotional, and social needs of young adolescents.
At this age, middle school youth are open to good and bad behaviors as well as positive and negative ideas. Many of the values and beliefs that they held as children are now questioned and challenged. As young adolescents they are trying to figure out who they are and what they believe. As a Catholic community, we are going to give our middle school youth the SPARK they need in their life.
The Spark nights are made to reach the youth in ways that are beneficial: through small and large group discussions, through personal experiences, and through teaching others. Every Spark night, we want the youth to gain an understanding and appreciation of what the Catholic Church teaches and believes, as well as develop an identity in the youth as being a major part of the parish community.
Spark Nights are on Fridays from 5 P.M to 7 P.M. There are 14 scheduled nights from September to May.
