...has a two year process for receiving the Sacrament of Eucharist for the older BAPTIZED child:
First Year—basic faith formation. Learning prayers: Sign of the Cross, Hail Mary, Our Father, Glory Be.
Second Year—for those in 4th grade or above in school. Focus is Reconciliation (confession) and Eucharist (First Communion). Child learns the Act of Contrition and is evaluated for readiness to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Child/Parent attend a Reconciliation Retreat and a Eucharist Retreat. There are two ceremonies; one for the Sacrament of Reconciliation followed by First Communion several months later.
If your child is
NOT BAPTIZED you will receive instruction following the successful completion of their first year. Baptism typically takes place in the summer/fall months.
St. Paul the Apostle has ongoing faith formation for all grade levels for those who wish to continue their spiritual journey with Christ.
