The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.

Although a minium of 6 month advance notice is required, most couples plan 12 months or more in advance to get their wedding date reservation so they can began to make other wedding arrangements. First you need to make an appointment with a Priest / Deacon of your Parish to determine if you are free to get married in the Catholic Church, this is needed before you can make a reservation for the wedding date, this will allow you reserve with confidence the rest of your venues.
