| True story: One of my Teen Youth Ministry Core Member at my former parish shared with me this week that she and her family are now attending a non-Catholic church. Reason: Her son a few times had difficulty staying quiet during mass and after a few masses of being asked to be quiet and to leave the church because the "mass holiness" is disrupted, her family started either leaving quickly or coming infrequently. Well a welcoming church opened their arms...they are now active in the ministry and the "disruptive kids" are also very active and are taking children's Bible Study. Are we hospitable to others and welcoming to visitors? |
